Tehran (The Times Groupe)- Iran defeated Australia 3 sets to 1 in the 2022 Volleyball Nations League.
Iran men’s national volleyball team, who suffered a painful defeat against the Netherlands on Saturday, flew out of the blocks to defeat Australia 25-14 in the opener before beating closer Australia 25-22 in the second.
In the third, the Aussies made a comeback, taking it 25-18, but Iran won the fourth 25-15 to secure the victory. In the win, Amin Esmaeil-nezhad scored 23 points, while Hamish Hazelden scored 17 points.
In less than 14 hours, Iran will face Japan to close out the first week of Nations League.
