Tehran (The Times Groupe)- Iran announced his readiness to send police teams to Qatar to secure the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
As one of the co-founders of International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), Brigadier General Mehdi Hajian, spokesman for Iran’s police says “we have good cooperation and partnership with Interpol in world events, including the Qatar World Cup.”
The 2022 FIFA World Cup begins on Nov. 21 for the first ever winter edition of the competition set for Qatar.
The final tournament match also scheduled on Saturday, Dec. 18 which has been published on FIFA.com
Iran’s crime rate has risen over the past few years, despite no official statistics available.
Crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery have increased in Iran.
There are still violent crimes and crimes committed across the country that are detected mostly by police officers as the number of traffic fatalities has skyrocketed as well as the number of addicts.
